William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was a bloke born in England a really, really long time ago. Known during his early years throughout Stratford to close friends as Billy Shakes, or sometimes the Rhyminator, he was a talented actor and playwright looking to break into the cutthroat London theater scene, as well a clutch closer at Ale Pong - always able to sink the last cup.
After arriving in London, Bill's acting career was cut short due to a leaked sex tape that his (then) manager suggested would be a good "career move." Focusing primarily on his writing, Bill released several plays that would become the foundation of English drama and literature. Too bad for him that nobody really cared about them at the time. Bill has since been able to make a living through his prose writing, particularly the romance novels he has been penning under the nom de plume, Dick Richardson.
Bill agreed to work with No Jacket Required to produce a compilation of his 37 plays purely because they seemed like the coolest blokes he has ever met, especially Ethan (and that's not because he happens to be the one editing Bill's Bio right now). He would like to thank his mum, King James, and the printing press.
Film Credits: Shakespeare in Love (Self); Romeo and Juliet; Hamlet. Television Credits: Law & Order SVU.
Bill is not a member of actors equity, as it not only conflicts with his standing in the Chamberlain's Men but he also lacks the necessary number of Equity Membership Candidate points to apply.
